Windows Client/Server

T1 E1 Analysis

File Based Record/Playback

Overview

By manipulating Latency, Response time and Priority, simultaneous transmit and receive tasks can be performed on all the 4 ports (124 TS).

Here are some typical settings:

  • 1.6 GHz PC, WIN 2K OS

    Latency-550, Response-150, Priority-3 - for simultaneous transmit and receive on all the 4 ports (124 TS) of an E1

  • 800 MHZ PC, WIN 2K and WIN NT OS

    • Receive Only or Transmit Only up to 124 different files (4 E1 ports) with
      Latency-1000,Response-500 and Priority-1 parameters [WIN 2K]

    • Receive and Transmit simultaneously up to 72 different files with
      Latency-1000,Response-600 and Priority-1 parameters [WIN 2K]

    • Receive and Transmit simultaneously up to 62 different files with
      Latency-800, Response-500 and Priority-1 parameters [WIN NT]

    • Transmit only up to 124 different files with
      Latency-1000, Response-600 and Priority-1 parameters [WIN NT]
    Eg:
    tx server file "qrss.ber" #1:1 continuous; ...
    tx server file "qrss.ber" #2:1 continuous;
  • Transmit only or Transmit and receive simultaneously on all the timeslots at a time on each of 4 ports with one combined command for all timeslots. Latency-80, Response time-500 and Priority-3. [PC- 800 MHz onwards On T1 E1 cards].

    Eg:
    rx server file "rec1.ala" #1:1..31 1000;
    tx server file "qrss.ber" #2:1..31;
    rx server file "rec2.ala" #1:1..31 1000;
    tx server file "qrss1.ber" #2:1..31;

  • Receive only on all the timeslots at a time on each of 4 ports with one combined command for all timeslots. Latency-20, Response time-500 and Priority-3. [PC- 1.6GHz On T1 E1 cards].

    Eg:
    rx server file "rec1.ala" #1:1..31 1000;
    rx server file "rec2.ala" #2:1..31;

Important Note:

"TxRx underflow" problem gets improved when the priority in the task manager for the GL Server is set to "Real time". (Under Task Manager, select "Processes" tab, go to view - "select columns - check "Base priority" - Select "GL Server" for image name and "Set Priority" to "Real Time".)

For additional syntax, download the sample script for record playback

WCS -Client Data Tx/Rx

ClientDataTxRx is an optional WCS Server side module that provides the capability for "clients" to Tx & Rx T1 E1 data to & from the Server. Instead of using Tx & Rx files from the server location, the module used the files present at the Client location (in the case that the Server and Client are not the same PC). Now, the client can transmit and receive files or T1 E1 data directly to the server. Its main functions are:

  • receives raw data from T1 E1 line and sends it to the client as task data messages
  • receives data from the client via task data messages and transmits this data on T1 E1

Please Note: The XX in the Item No. refers to the hardware platform, listed at the bottom of the Buyer's Guide, which the software will be running on. Therefore, XX can either be ETA or EEA (Octal/Quad Boards), PTA or PEA (tProbe Units), XUT or XUE (Dual PCIe Express) depending upon the hardware.
